AING: Adjunct IN Group
The Adjunct Interdepartmental Networking Group (Adjunct IN Group) is a networking and professional development group open to all adjuncts. The group will meet for information and idea exchanges on topics the group identifies. Participation is voluntary and uncompensated but can be source for learning about resources and strategies for strengthening your teaching.
To support and stimulate discussion, we have a subscription to Magna 20-Minute Mentor, a collection of brief videos with tips for student engagement, assessment, classroom management and more. These can be found inside a Blackboard organization for the Adjunct IN-Group. All adjuncts have been enrolled in this organization. To access it, log into Blackboard and “Adjunct IN Group” under “My Organizations.” (If you cannot access it, please contact Rich James, at x2175 or firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Remaing topics for Summer 2014 semester:

This session will build on the Active and Cooperative Learning workshops that took place in mid-June. We will review the principles of cooperative learning, share activities we've tried in our classes and get ideas and feedback from each other. If you did not attend the June workshops you can still learn and participate in this session. Some of our full-time faculty who participated in the workshops may attend also.
