Parking Citation Appeals
Columbus State seeks to manage its parking program in a fair and consistent manner. College parking citations hold those accountable who do not comply to the parking regulations. All persons parking in college lots are responsible for knowing the parking regulations. These can be found on the Columbus State Community College
and in the Student Handbook.
The appeals committee provides due process for those who believe they have been wrongfully cited. However the following excuses rarely result in a waived citation:
- Others were parked there too.
- I couldn’t find a legal parking spot.
- I was late.
- I didn’t know.
All appeals must be supported and it is the appellant's responsibility to attach all supporting documentation.
During the appeals process the citation must be paid to remove the restriction from your account. This payment is not an admission of guilt and if your appeal is successful, your payment will be refunded in full.
In addition, the college is required by law to submit all unpaid College Citations to the Ohio Attorney General's Office for collection so prompt payment is encouraged.
Students, staff, and visitors may check the status of an appeal daily by using the 'Check Appeal' button provided below. Follow the prompts provided there.
Please Note: This appeals process is only for Columbus State Community College citations.
